No that's the only thing that will keep him out of decks. As a Samurai this guy blows.

Screw Samurai. I was looking at him for the shugenja trait. I'd rather run this guy over Amika. That and there's potential to play around with Kane and other budoka-y crap.

Well, we can just think of him as a non-unique boxable shugenja! Not too shabby there!

Yet another boxable scout, buddaka to boot, and shugneja, over all nice, peopel can complain hes not Naval, but after getting 3 difrent scout peps this set, and two are shugenja, im seeing them forceing us tweards a scout/shugenja syinergy deck.

I also think that people are overlooking the fact that he also has 2 PH. That trumps Saburo for numbers. So what he doesn't have the naval trait. Slap a clan armor on him and you've got a 3/5 shugenja with naval.

I think the biggest downfall is that he doesn't have as much chi as most of our current shugenja pool. Then again, he does have comparable force. All in all, I like it. So, I'll shut up about it now.

Did Scout and Shugenja get some sort of synergy while I wasn't looking? No, no they didn't. A "could be good in the future with the right support" card.

His art also implies he was REALLY meant to be a shugenja, anyway. Well, looks like it's time to come up with a shuggie/scout build!

I don't know. To be perfectly honest, I'm glad to be seeing stuff that doesn't just reward playing a crap ton of attachments out of EHP. That may be our strongest archetype right now, but it's boring and predictable, especially considering that the pool of items/spells/followers you're going to use are rather limited for things you're going to want to drop in the middle of combat.

Though, I would like to see some quality weapons and armors, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.
